J Hawkins is a retired registered nurse with decades of experience in healthcare, family advocacy, and community support. Throughout her nursing career, she worked with individuals and families across all ages and stages of life. As a former military wife, she served as a Family Advocacy Nurse Specialist, supporting families with childbearing and parenting needs—from pregnancy to birth and beyond.
Her professional journey includes working in schools across Texas—including NISD, San Antonio, WFISD, Wichita Falls, and Healy Murphy in San Antonio—where she served as a nurse and parent educator. Passionate about helping individuals thrive, J Hawkins has dedicated her career to creating safe, non-judgmental spaces for people to learn, grow, and be their best selves.
She founded Caring Options of San Antonio, LLC, before COVID and provided classes as a certified American Heart Association CPR instructor, a certified instructor for the Academy of Pediatrics’ Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers (PediFACTs) course, and a certified Breakthrough Parenting Instructor. With a lifelong philosophy rooted in caring, she continues to inspire and empower others professionally and personally.
